Social Support to the Indigent One Step at a Time

Due to a lack of food security, millions of Nigerians go hungry every day. Women and children are, particularly at risk. In the states of Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe, 55 percent of female-headed households are food insecure. Malnourished children suffer poor cognitive development, leading to poor performance at school. Malnourished children also become more vulnerable to childhood diseases, stunted growth, and are at risk of dying.

We work to address the immediate needs faced by starving families. We mobilise private businesses, political leaders, and civil society to contribute food items distributed to communities in the region.
